Buyers: paying an invoice

The exchange sends you an invoice with a link to its public page, of the form https://exchange.yeshara.network/invoices/INV-0042. You do not need an account to open it.

The page shows the lines, VAT, total, what has been paid and what is outstanding, and How to pay.

Being released

The money rails described here are built and tested, and are being rolled out. Until a rail is switched on for the exchange, invoices are paid by bank transfer or mobile money and recorded by Finance, as today.

In USDC or USDT

On Stellar

  1. Open a Stellar wallet that supports SEP-7 payment links and scan the QR code on the invoice, or enter the details by hand:
    • the account,
    • the coin and its issuer,
    • the memo, exactly as shown (INV-0042),
    • the amount.
  2. Send. The invoice updates within a minute.

The memo is how the exchange knows what you paid. A payment without it, or with a different one, is not applied to your invoice; the exchange has to return it.

Your account needs a trustline for the coin, which any wallet that holds the coin already has.

On Celo

Use Pay with wallet with MetaMask, Valora or another browser wallet. It asks you to approve the amount, then to confirm the payment. A plain transfer of the coin to an address cannot be matched to your invoice; use the button, or call the contract with the details shown.

In Kenyan shillings

The exchange sends a payment prompt to your phone for M-Pesa or Airtel Money (it will show AgriTrade Exchange; enter your PIN), or a link to pay by card on Mamlaka's secure page. Ask your contact at the exchange.

Part payments

You can pay part of an invoice. It shows as Part-paid with the outstanding amount until the rest arrives.
